The International Student Exchange (ISE) program at FIU is only open to students at our partner institutions. Click below to see the complete list of institutions that have partnered with FIU.
If you do not see your school, then you are not eligible to participate in FIU’s ISE program at this time. You may want to consider applying as an international student to earn your degree at FIU.
If your school is included among our partner institutions, you should contact the Office of International Relations, Mobility, or Study Abroad at your home university for application information. If you are not sure how to contact them, please e-mail our office at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will provide contact information.
Your home university probably requires you to apply to participate in the exchange program. If your application is accepted by your university, then the coordinator will give you instructions to apply for the ISE program at FIU and will provide you with the application packet.
Your application for the ISE program must be submitted by mail to the FIU Office of Study Abroad (OSA) by the coordinator at your home university. We will not review applications sent by students. Fall semester and academic year applications are due March 1, and spring semester applications are due September 15.
Your application for the ISE program must be completed online through our ISE Application Portal to which you get access once you are nominated by your home institution. Fall semester and academic year applications are due March 15, and spring semester applications are due September 1.
After your ISE application is accepted by the OSA, we will work with you to submit all necessary documents, including visa paperwork. The OEA will also register you for classes and help you prepare for your arrival at FIU. It is important that you follow all instructions from the OSA carefully throughout the whole process!
